A site license, in plain words
Nobody should need a lawyer to run a Mah Jongg class. Here is what your site may do, what we hold, and what your purchasing office gets.
The short version
One site, one year, everyone plays. No limit on people, no charge per head.
A name and a code. That is all we hold about a participant, plus what they played.
Nothing renews by itself. No charge without a new invoice.
A W-9 and thirty day terms. Your purchase order on the invoice.
The license
- What you get
- Everyone at your site plays, takes the lessons, uses the drills and sits the placement test. With the class plan, handouts, roster, join codes, report, and a club page with tables and tournaments.
- What a site is
- One address where people meet: a JCC, a library, a recreation department, one senior living community. An operator with several communities is priced per community.
- Who may use it
- Your members, residents, participants and staff, at your site or at home as part of your program. Not the general public.
- What you may print
- The class plan, the handouts, the codes and the report, as often as you like, for your own program.
- How long it lasts
- A year from the day the invoice is paid. Nothing renews by itself.
- Ending it
- Either of us may stop at the end of a year. If the school stops mid-year, we refund the part you have not used.
- Price changes
- At renewal only, never inside a year you have paid for.
The League's card
The school's own card is free to play and a site needs nothing else. The National Mah Jongg League's card is theirs: we never show it, never print it and never sell it. A player who owns the printed card can practice its hands here, and that is all.
What we hold about your participants
- A name and a code
- The whole roster. No email address, no postal address, no telephone number, no date of birth, nothing about anybody's health.
- What they played
- Hands, decisions, drills and the placement test, so the report works.
- Never sold or shared
- Not with advertisers, not with anybody.
- Yours to delete
- Remove a person and their name and code go. Ask us and the whole site's data goes within thirty days.
- Where it lives
- On servers in the United States.
- Their own account
- A participant may make one with their own email address if they want to. Their choice, never a requirement, separate from your roster.
Getting to it
- Large tiles
- A setting on every screen, up to extra large. So is high contrast.
- Keyboard
- Every control can be reached and worked from the keyboard, and shows where it is.
- Sound
- Nothing depends on hearing. Sound is an option.
- Movement
- Nothing flashes, and nothing moves that a person did not ask to move.
- Any browser
- A tablet, a laptop, or the large screen in an activity room.
- If something is hard
- Tell us and we will fix it. That is a better promise than a badge.
For your purchasing office
- A W-9
- Ask and we send it.
- Invoices
- Thirty day terms, your purchase order number on the face of the invoice.
- Payment
- Cheque, bank transfer or card, whichever your office prefers.
- Sales tax
- Added where it applies. Send your exemption certificate and we hold it on file.
- A signature
- On your own purchase order or agreement, if your process needs one.
