Using this table

Where everything is on the screen.

Do this lesson at the table 4 minutes, 8 steps

Your tiles are along the bottom

Tap the gold-circled tile on your rack to pick it up and it lifts. Tap it again to put it back. That is how every tile is chosen. To throw one, the button Throw it appears under the lifted tile. To pass or to call, the button is in the middle of the table and says exactly what will happen. At the table you can also drag a tile into the middle to throw it, or along your rack to move it. The lessons keep to tapping. At a real table your tiles arrive in the order they come. The gold-circled Sort my tiles puts them in suit order, and pressing it again puts them back. In the lessons the rack is always sorted, so here it is pressed already.

Where everyone is sitting

The screen seats the others where they would sit at a real table. The player on your right is on your right, so the player on your right appears on the right of the screen. The player across sits across from you, at the top. The player on your left is on your left. That matters because tiles move round the table in that order. Each one shows their tiles face down and a name, and anything they have face up sits in front of them, toward the middle, as it would on a real table. All three here are marked AI, played by the school. At a table with friends a person is marked Person. Press the gold-circled name, the player on your right: it opens what the player on your right might be going for, worked out only from what everyone can see. Press the name again to close it.

A colour for each player

The dot beside each name is that player's colour. While it is on, the tiles they throw carry it at the edge in the middle of the table, their face-up sets are framed in it, and their name is coloured wherever the table mentions them, so you can see at a glance who threw what. Press the gold-circled dot beside the player on your right to turn their colour off, and again to turn it back on.

The card is on the right

Every hand on the card is drawn on the right, the one you are nearest first, with how many tiles away you are. The nearest is also named under the card's heading. Show the card as changes how the hands are drawn: as tiles, as they look on your printed card, or in words. Press the gold-circled It is printed to see them as they look on the card. Hide the card gives the table the whole screen, and Show the card brings it back.

The log

At the top of this panel are two names, The card and The log. The log is where the table tells you what just happened, one line a move. In this game it already holds every throw so far, and it is open now. Press The card to see the card again.

The wall

The number in the top corner of the table is how many tiles are left in the wall. Press the gold-circled wall: the four walls open large, with a close-up of the stacks where the draw has reached and the next tile outlined. Close it with Close, or the Escape key.

The Menu, and the card

The links along the top are where you go: the lessons, the drills, the lobby. The gold-circled Menu is what this table does: a new hand, the card, the table settings, and the way back to the lobby. The card you are playing is named beside it, and pressing that name is how you change it. Table settings opens over the table with Done and Cancel at the top, so you are never stuck in it.
