The affiliate terms, in plain words
This is the whole agreement. It is written to be read rather than to be survived, and the school keeps to what it says here.
The four answers
- What do I earn?
- 20 percent of the first payment made by somebody you sent, on whichever plan they buy. Once per person, on their first payment only, not on what they pay afterwards.
- How long is my link remembered?
- 30 days on that browser. If they make an account inside that window, they are recorded as yours, and that does not expire afterwards.
- When am I paid?
- A share waits 30 days from the payment, so a refund can undo it, and then goes out with the next payout to the bank you connected through Stripe. There is no minimum and no fee taken from your share.
- How do I stop?
- Stop using the link. Anything already earned and cleared is still paid. You can also ask us to close it, and we answer by email.
What earns a share
A person who follows your link, makes an account within 30 days, and buys a plan. The share is 20 percent of that first payment, before tax and after any discount they used.
What does not
- Yourself. Your own link followed by your own account earns nothing, and a second account of your own is not a referral.
- Somebody who already has an account. The link records who brought a person on their first sign-in. If they were already here, nothing changes.
- Somebody another link brought first. The first link to bring a person keeps them.
- A site license. A JCC or a senior living community is sold by a person, not a link. If you brought one, tell us and we will agree something; it is not automatic.
- Buying our name. Paid search on "Mahjongg School" or anything close to it, and anything that looks like it comes from us rather than from you.
What happens if a payment comes back
A refund or a chargeback cancels the share if we have not sent it yet, which is what the 30 day wait is for. If it has already been sent, we will ask you about it rather than take it back from a later payment without saying so.
What you may say, and what you may not
Say that you get a share; people mind being surprised, not being told. Do not say you are the school, do not promise anything on our behalf, and do not describe the League's card as ours. Everything on the site is fair to quote.
What we may do
We can close an affiliate account for the things above, and we will say why. We can change the share or the windows, and a change applies to people you send after it, never to a share already earned. If the program ends, everything already earned is still paid.
What we hold about the people you send
A count of the browsers that followed your link, and how many of those made an account and bought a plan. You never see who they are: not their name, not their address, not what they played. We do not sell that to anybody, and we do not sell it to you either.
Who you are agreeing with
ECAI, LLC, a Virginia company, trading as Mahjongg School. Virginia law, and we would both rather talk than litigate. Questions go to the school and a person answers.
