A turn: draw one, throw one
How play goes round the table, calling a thrown tile, and the tiles nobody takes.
-
Draw one, throw one
East has fourteen tiles, so East starts by throwing one into the middle, face up. Then the turn goes to the right. Each player draws one tile from the wall and throws one. On your turn, draw one, then throw one and say its name out loud.

-
Who goes after you?
The turn always moves the same way round the table.
You have just thrown a tile. Who goes next? Yes. The turn goes to the right.
-
Calling a thrown tile
A thrown tile can be taken by any player, not just the next one. You have two 6 Craks, and a 6 Crak is thrown. Say call, and show the three 6 Craks face up in front of you. Then throw a tile. You do not draw. Anyone between the thrower and you loses that turn, and play goes on to your right. You may call a tile only to make three of a kind or more. Never for a pair, unless that tile finishes your whole hand.
A 31-second video, with captions.
-
Can you call it?
You hold two 3 Bams. The player across throws a 3 Bam.
What can you do? Yes. Show the group face up, then throw. No draw.
-
And this one?
You hold one Green dragon. A Green dragon is thrown, and it would not finish your hand.
Can you call it? Right. One Green dragon and the thrown one would only be a pair.
-
A thrown tile nobody takes
If nobody calls a thrown tile before the next player draws, it stays in the middle for the rest of the game, and nobody can take it later.
A 11-second video, with captions.
-
Too late?
A 5 Crak was thrown two turns ago, and nobody called it. Now you would like it.
Can you take it now? Right. Once the next player has drawn, that tile is gone for good.
