The lessons · lesson 8 of 11
Jokers
Taking a joker back with the real tile, a thrown joker, and the tiles a joker can never stand for.
-
Taking a joker back
The player across has three 7 Dots face up, and one of them is a joker. You hold a real 7 Dot. On your turn, you may put your 7 Dot in their group and take the joker. Their group is still three 7 Dots.

Can you take this joker?
The player on your left has two 2 Bams and a joker face up. You hold a 2 Bam, and it is your turn.
What can you do? Yes. Their group is still three 2 Bams, and the joker is yours.
-
Two more joker rules
A thrown joker is dead. Nobody can pick it up, not even to win. And a joker never stands for a single tile: not half of a pair, not in North East West South, and not in a year like 2026.

-
A thrown joker
Someone throws a joker, and it is the one tile your hand is missing.
Can you call it to win? Right. A thrown joker can never be taken.
-
Which one is allowed?
Jokers can be used to make three of a kind or more, but not pairs, and never for a single tile.
Which of these is allowed? Yes. Four 8 Craks, one of them a joker: four of a kind.
